Zander Bierman Safaris was created from an absolute passion for hunting!

Born in South Africa in 1990, Zander was raised by parents who were both teachers. From a young age, he was quite the different one in his family and could always be found out and about – exploring and shooting game. With the guidance of his older cousin, Zander quickly learned the ropes and completed his first true hunt when he was just 9 years old, taking down an Impala and a Warthog on the same day.

Having shot both his first animals on foot, this is the technique that Zander came to love and he still prefers using this method today.

At the age of 15 years old, Zander started practicing archery and before the end of that same year, he shot his first Warthog with the bow.

In 2009 at the age of 19, he went to college, studying Game Ranch Management in Pretoria, at the Tshwane University of Technology.

In 2011 Zander received his National Diploma in Game Ranch Management. He also attended and completed the Professional Hunter course, after which he started hunting full-time as a freelance PH at different safari companies in South Africa.

During this time, he had the privilege of hunting in other African countries like Zimbabwe & Namibia and experiencing dangerous game hunting.

He was hunting with clients from around the world, varying from the USA, Spain, Russia, Germany, Italy & Denmark, & off-course South Africa.

At the end of 2013, Zander visited the USA for the first time. While he was there, he worked for a taxidermist in Alabama for three months. He also visited Utah and did a bit of hunting there.

When he returned to South Africa, he felt ready to start up his own safari company.
August of 2014 marks the beginning of Zander Bierman Safaris.

To say that Zander is passionate about hunting, would be an understatement, and his enthusiasm is contagious. He has a wide scope of knowledge about archery as well as rifle hunting, animal behaviour and all things hunting.
